Daniel Wayne, Attorney
Daniel is the principle attorney at the Law Offices of Daniel W. Wayne. He founded the firm with the goal of providing Bay Area tenants with cost-effective, practical solutions. Daniel has built a reputation as a zealous advocate for tenant's rights. He has resolved hundreds of cases on behalf of Bay Area tenants and helping his clients recover millions of dollars along the way.
In 2016, Daniel was named a Super Lawyer "Rising Star" by his peers, an honor bestowed on only 2.5% of younger attorneys in Northern California. He is among the highest rated attorneys in San Francisco on Yelp, and has a rating of "Superb" (10/10) on Avvo.com. Daniel volunteers as a counselor with the San Francisco Tenants Union, writes a monthly column on tenant's rights issues for the popular San Francisco-based site Broke-Ass Stuart, and has appeared on 91.7 FM KALW's "Your Legal Rights" Program. He received the Outstanding Volunteer in Public Service award from the San Francisco Bar Association in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and has presented to numerous legal groups, as well as to the San Francisco Apartment Association, on topics such as AirBnB and short-term rental legislation, tenancy buyouts, and habitability litigation.
In his free time Daniel enjoys traveling, cycling and the outdoors. Daniel makes his home in San Francisco's Sunset neighborhood. He is originally from Seattle, Washington.

Piper is the firm's legal assistant and office manager. Originally from Maine, she came to the West Coast to study Russian at Reed College in Portland, OR, eventually earning an MA in Russian Literature at UC Berkeley. Piper began to learn about tenant's rights as a volunteer with Causa Justa, and is happy to continue her advocacy for Bay Area renters through her work at the firm.
In her free time, she studies poetry and translation, and enjoys exploring the Bay Area's wilderness areas by foot and by bike.
